These Terms and Conditions are effective November1, 2008
Student Waiver
Upon enrollment, all students must fill-in and complete a waiver signed by both themselves and their parents. No enrollment will be considered without a signed waiver.
Passport & Visa
It is the participant's responsibility to have a valid passport and all visas required to enter Spain. Please give yourself sufficient time to apply for any necessary visas. The Spanish consulate or embassy can advise you on the necessity of a visa and the time frame needed to apply for it. (Should your visa be declined or is unavailable at the time of your departure, our normal cancellation policies will apply.)
Once the completed the enrollment form and waiver have been signed and sent to BAI Languages, it means that you have read and understood our terms and conditions and agree to be bound by them.
Deposit and Final Payment
A €300.00 deposit is due along with your enrollment form and waiver before a space can be held for you. Your final payment must be made by bank transfer to the following account: IBAN ES44 0182 2148 1202 0152 5109.

Payment Schedule
The balance of the programme fees is due no later than 45 days before the programme start date. If the balance of the programme has not been received 45 days prior to the programmes start date, an additional late payment fee of €50.00 will be charged. If we have not received payment from you by 30 days prior to the start of the programme, we will cancel your programme with no notice to you. The deposit you have paid is absolutely non-refundable in this case.
For programmes booked less than 45 days prior to the programme start date, the entire programme fee plus the late fee (10% of programme total) is due at time of booking. All check payments should be made out to "British American Institute, S.C.P.”
Cancellation Notice and Refund Policy
Notice of cancellation must be made in writing directly to BAI Languages. The date of the cancellation will be considered to be the date the written notification is received by our office. The deposit is non-refundable upon cancellation by you:

Late Arrivals and Absences
If a student arrives late to a course, or is absent during the course, no refunds will be granted for the missed days. Classes cancelled in honor of local public holidays will not be made up and are not subject to any refund.
Important Notes Airport Pick-Ups
Individual airport pick-ups are not included in the fees. Individual students will be charged a fee of 65€ (Barcelona airport) and 85€ (Girona airport) each way to and from the airport. Group airport pick-ups are may or may not be included in the fees, according to the agreement between BAI Languages and the agent or group leader. Should a student arrive outside his/her group’s airport arrival and departure transfer date and times, the normal airport transfer fee of 65€ (Barcelona) or 85€ (Girona) for each way will apply.
Early Returns
No refund will be given for early returns. However, if you must cancel your programme due to a personal emergency, please notify the BAI Languages in writing as soon as possible prior to your departure from the programme and we will review your claim. BAI Languages reserves the right to make final decision on any refunds.
Grievances
You must inform the school staff immediately of any situation affecting the quality of your programme (including but not limited to course or accommodation). BAI Languages reserves the right to refuse a refund if you have declined to accept reasonable solutions offered to you by the school staff. Matters outside of the control of BAI Languages shall not be considered for refunds.
Refunds
All refund checks will be mailed to your home address within 30 days of agreement or programme end unless otherwise requested in writing. BAI Languages cannot guarantee a specific date on which you will receive the check. All requests for alternative payment methods must be made in writing and approved by BAI Languages.
Arrival and Departure Dates
Unless otherwise noted in your confirmation letter, accommodation is available on the Sunday before the course begins until the Saturday following the end of the course. Extra night accommodation can be booked at the time of enrollment for an additional cost (subject to availability).
We strongly recommend that students do not book their flights until their programme has been confirmed by our office. If you have booked an airport pick-up or one is included in your programme, BAI Languages must receive the arrival information at least 3 weeks prior to the programme start date.
Airport pick-ups will transfer the participant from Barcelona International Airport to the booked accommodation on the arrival date that is listed on the start dates section of the location price page on our website.
If you require an airport pick-up but do not send us the arrival information in advance, we cannot guarantee that the host family/school staff will be available to greet the participant upon arrival. Any additional costs (hotel, taxi, etc) incurred due to your failure to provide BAI Languages with the arrival information at least 3 weeks in advance, are your responsibility.
