BAI Languages in collaboration with PRO-AB TEAM Tennis offers exclusive two- and three-week language and tennis programmes at one of Spain’s finest tennis academies. Students will study Spanish in the morning, train with top ATP professional coaches in the afternoon, and enjoy the sights and culture of one of Europe’s most exciting and glamourous cities. All this, plus weekend trips in and around Barcelona, to the Costa Brava, to Port Aventura theme park—site of the world’s most electrifying roller coaster ride, and much more. PRO-AB TEAM is well-known for its high quality instruction of young players and top-of-the-line professionalism. Their objective is to develop the full potential of each player, no matter his/her level, and at the same time impart lessons that promote sportsmanship and the all-around well being of each player. With this in mind, PRO-AB TEAM trainers are carefully selected and form a group of skilled, experienced, and caring professionals. And thanks to their unique system of training, PRO-AB TEAM is able to boast several students and former students among the top 100 tennis players in the world (Albert Montañes #60 ATP Ranking; Carla Suárez #50 WTA Ranking; Estrella Cabeza #100WTA; Laura Pous #60WTA; Albert Portas #17 ATP).
To its centric location in the city of Barcelona, the PRO-AB TEAM and BAI Languages programme welcomes players from ages 14-17 with all levels of abilities or experience. Tennis classes will be held Monday through Friday from 17:00 to 20:00. Groups will be divided according to ages and levels, and each group will have its own trainer during their course. Time will be divided between play and instruction on clay courts and physical training and preparation.
The PRO-AB TEAM academy offers clay courts, swimming pool, gymnasium, and a restaurant. Students will stay at a nearby residence (which will provide three meals a day) with monitors who will accompany them to class each day and to and from tennis training. Monitors will also go with students on weekend outings outside Barcelona, as well as trips in and around the city.
Spanish classes will be daily, Monday through Friday from 9.00 to 12.00. Students will be tested upon their arrival and then divided into small groups according to their language skills and speaking level. Classes are taught by experienced and highly-qualified teachers according to the standards of the Instituto Cervantes, the institute responsible for promoting and teaching the Spanish language and culture.
